  1. Creating a report
    It is possible to simultaneously delete all preset values from the code list, e.g. delete transaction labels when creating the report LOAN-STA-VT01.
  2. Data export
    In the exported data file, information is added under “QUERY:” for each content set, indicating whether a query or filter is defined for it.
    WARNING: In the already saved definition for the data export, you must first re-save all queries and filters (by clicking the OK button) and then the data export definition (under a new name) if you want the query output to be updated in the exported data file.

  1. From now on, in libraries that have loan organized by departments, you can only perform interlibrary loan procedures if you are registered in the department that implements interlibrary loan (the so-called ILL department).
  2. Return of material – material is returned by the customer
    In a library with pickup locations, material on loan through interlibrary loan is, upon return, assigned to the first reservation from the reservation type that meets the conditions for assigning this material (this can be a reservation in a loan or a reservation in an interlibrary loan). The status of reserved material is changed automatically from R – reserved unavailable material to O – reserved available material even if the library has departments and the pickup location for reserved material is Interlibrary loan or another pickup location at a location in the ILL department, and the reservation is given the status in process.

  1. New format of e-notifications
    E-notifications sent to members via email are now in HTML format. These are the following e-notifications:
    • General notification
    • Notification about received reservation
    • Notification about the expiration of the reservation
    • Notification about a forthcoming loan period expiry date
    • Notification about forthcoming overdue notice
    • Notification about membership expiry
    • Notification about outstanding debts
    It is possible to add the library logo to the e-notification. For this purpose, use Home library / Contact details and information for COBISS+, where on the Welcome message tab, under Logo, enter a link to the page where the logo is located.
  2. Window Card
    • The option to sort entered material by due date has been added. For this purpose, use the Expiry button. The selected sorting remains valid until the card is closed.
    • A tool tip has been added for the status of the entered material (e.g. outside loan at C).
    • When reserving material, stay on the All material tab.
  3. Catalogue
    • On the list of copies that are the search result, a display of the status (subfield 996/997q) and/or the availability level (subfield 996/997p) has been added to the Loan status column. This information is displayed for copies of the material that are available.
    • For serials, the year of publication has been added to the Publication year / Year (k) column (subfield 997k).
    • The following keyboard shortcuts have been added: <Alt + G> (View button), <Alt + I> (Lend button), <Alt + R> (Reserve button), <Alt + S> (Lend to reading room button) and <Alt + U> (Reserve for reading room button).
  4. Returning material without selecting a member
    In some libraries, a special parameter was used to enable the Card window to open after returning material without selecting a member. Because this method slows down the application, this parameter is no longer taken into account. For a member who has just returned the material, it is possible to open the Card if necessary by clicking the card icon or using the hotkeys <Alt + Q>. It is also possible to immediately print a lending form by clicking on the new Lending form button.
  5. Member search window
    • The Lending form button has been added, which allows you to print a lending form for the selected member. The member’s lending form lists material from all departments. When printing a lending note from the search window, any settings the member may have for receiving the lending note by e-mail are not taken into account.
    • The Print membership card label button has been added, which allows you to print membership card labels for multiple selected members at once.
  6. Window List of reservations and cancellations of available material and List of reservations of available material
    • By using the keys <Ctrl+C> and <Ctrl+V> you can copy specific data or the value of an individual cell for the selected reservation.
    • The size of the window List of reservations and cancellations of available material at the selected reservation processing location and window List of reservations of available material at the selected reservation processing location, the width of the columns, and the set and order of data for displaying reservations in these windows are saved as a user setting for your username. The changed window size and column widths are saved when the reservation list window is closed. The settings apply to the selected reservation processing location or to the selected pickup location on an individual device (workstation).
      WARNING: If you change the set or order of data for displaying reservations in the List of reservations and cancellations of available material or List of reservations of available materialwindow, the window size is preserved and the column widths are reset.
  7. Pickup Location
    In the Pickup location editor, you can enter additional conditions based on which, when reserving available material via COBISS+, the software will determine and reserve the most favourable copy from all copies that are equipped with sublocations for which the selected pickup location is primary and that meet the conditions for picking up the material at the selected pickup location. Additional conditions for reserving the most favourable copy are determined by the library and entered by IZUM. For additional conditions to determine the most favourable copy, you can use all the data that can be used when entering the conditions for receiving the material, as well as information about the status (subfield 996/7q – Status (q)).
  8. Restriction to members registered online
    For members registered online who have not yet signed a statement upon registration, reserving materials with the choice of pickup in a parcel box or home delivery is disabled in COBISS+. Loan of reserved material from the self-checkout is also disabled.
  9. Sitium Card
    For the Milan Jarc Library in Novo mesto, we have implemented the option of member identification and payment with the Sitium card.
  10. Registration form
    When adding an electronic signature to a registration form, a message is displayed if the action is unsuccessful.
  11. Sending a notification about a routing period expiry
    When selecting the Member / Notify member about a routing period expiry procedure, a window will open where you must confirm sending the notifications.
  12. Return of material from the textbook fund
    When returning material from the textbook fund in any department, the warning is no longer displayed in a new window, but among the messages in the lower left.
  13. Loan transactions
    A new transaction type has been added in the loan 82 – change of COBISS Ela provider license type.

  1. Identification enabled with a time-limited code and identification disabled with a 7-digit identification number
    COBISS+ and mCOBISS include the generation of a time-limited barcode for member identification. For security reasons, the library may choose to use a default setting that prevents identification with any 7-digit identification number. The setting is activated by IZUM upon library’s request. This setting is also available on self-checkouts.
  2. Return of material on the smart shelf in the mobile library is enabled
    The SIP2 protocol has been updated to enable the return of material to the smart shelf installed in the mobile library department.
  3. Selecting a mobile library stop
    When going to the mobile library department, in the Select mobile library stop window, you can select a stop using the search window.
  4. Transfer of data on issued invoices
    A connection has been established between the COBISS software and the SAOP software. This option is enabled based on the library’s request after prior agreement on the necessary settings.
  5. Card window
    • For recorded reservations of currently unavailable material, after selecting the Change pickup location procedure, there is no longer an non-active pickup location in the list of pickup locations (this applies to reservations in all departments, not just reservations in the department with the non-active pickup location).
    • For recorded reservations of available material that is equipped with a sublocation that is specified at an non-active pickup location, you cannot change the pickup location.
    • When reserving available or unavailable material that is equipped with a sublocation that is specified at an non-active pickup location, a second active pickup location is automatically specified instead of the primary pickup location. This reservation may or may not be processed (depending on the holdings in the department where the pickup location is automatically specified, and the conditions at that pickup location).
    • In the mobile library, you can select a stop from the drop-down list more quickly by entering the stop or part of the stop name.
    • The Return tab displays information about the number of copies entered for the member.
  6. Deactivation of the pickup location
    • When IZUM marks a specific pickup location as inactive at the library’s request (the Active checkbox is empty), the established connection to other active pickup locations that deliver material to this pickup location is automatically deleted. When a non-active pickup location is reactivated, previous connections are reestablished.
    • If it is specified for a library that the department to which the non-active pickup location belongs is not visible in COBISS+, the non-active pickup location is no longer displayed as a selection option in COBISS+.
  7. Processing reservations for available material
    • When delivering material to the pickup location, software check has been added to the pickup location. You cannot carry out the procedure if the reservation is missing information about the pickup location.
    • When completing the processing of a reservation for missing material, the text that is displayed in the selection window after clicking the No material button has been changed.
  8. Material delivery notification
    • The text in the email has been updated.
    • In the Material delivery notification (attached file in PDF format), in libraries with departments, information is displayed about the department in which the member can return the material that was delivered to him at the selected address (the library charges the return costs in another department).
    • In the Material delivery notice (attached PDF file), the default values for the introductory and concluding text have been changed.
  9. Member’s photo
    The option to include a member’s photo has been added, which is visible in the Card window among the member’s information. A photo can be added in the Member editor by clicking the Member’s photo button. In the Upload photo window, you can choose between adding a photo that is already saved in a specific folder or a photo from a webcam. It is also possible to add/edit/delete a photo in the Card window of the selected member. When deleting inactive members individually or in bulk, the member’s photo is automatically deleted. The option is enabled with a special parameter at the library’s request.
  10. Catalogue
    The Print slip button has been added, which allows you to print a slip with information for the selected copy of the material.
  11. Loan of material from the textbook fund
    It is possible to loan material from the Textbook fund department to any other department. The loaned material is entered in the Textbook fund department. The option is enabled with a special parameter at the library’s request.
  12. Statistics of loan transactions
    It is possible to prepare statistics from loan transactions, in which you can define data for vertical and horizontal sorting yourselves.

  1. Downloading a record from the COBIB shared database
    When you click the Download record button in the Material search window, the entered search request is transferred to the COBIB search winodw.
  2. Entering call number elements
    Entering the left slash character <Alt+Q> is disabled. This is how individual elements of the call number are marked.

    When changing material relocation data, data entry control is enabled for Relocation sublocation (e\E) and relocation date (e\D); only both or neither of these data can be changed.

  1. The descriptions of updates, which are available under the COBISS Lib tab on the e-manuals website, have been redesigned and are now available in two formats (.HTML and .PDF).
  2. COBISS Assistant
    COBISS Assistant has been added, which in an experimental version includes information from manuals, which have been redesigned and are available in .HTML and .PDF formats. Because the functionality is based on large language models, the answers may be incorrect or misleading. The quality of the answer itself depends on the question or prompt asked.
  3. Search window
    • In search windows with preset search fields (e.g. the Unavailable material search window), you can customize the search by deleting the preset values, adding the rows with the search fields you need, and clicking the save queries button.
    • After deleting the search query, the focus is placed in the smart bar.
    • In the Partner search window, the smart bar now allows you to search by words from the name instead of the previous search by partner symbol.
    • A button has been added to the Field 996/997 search window to convert a search query into a expert search.
  4. Faster access to records
    To work more efficiently in COBISS Lib, we have enabled the use of right-click and double-click.
    Right click enables you to view a record, as it opens the viewer when you point the mouse cursor at a specific record in the search window, history, or among shortcuts and click the right mouse button. Right-click can also be used in the viewer. When you point the mouse cursor at a specific record among the linked records and click the right mouse button, that record is added to the open viewer.
    • Double-click works differently depending on where it is used. Double-clicking enables:
      • to edit a record (opens the editor if you double-click on the record in the search window or among the contained records in the editor);
      • to view a record (opens the viewer if you double-click on a record among the linked records in the editor);
      • to select a record (the record is loaded into the search window if you double-click on it in the viewer, history or among the shortcuts).
  5. RFID shortcut
    The Scan RFID button can now also be activated using the F8 key.
  6. MPOS button shortcut (Urbana)
    The MPOS button can now also be activated using the F12 key.

  1. Preparing material for delivery
    Copy of the Notification about material home delivery received by the member is also sent to the email address for receiving copies of e-notifications registered with the lending department that provides the material delivery service. If an email address for receiving copies of e-notifications is not entered for this department, or if the library does not have any lending departments, the email address for receiving copies of e-notifications entered at the home library among the contact details and information for COBISS+ will be used when sending. If this e-mail address is also not entered, the parameter from the library initialization file is taken into account when sending, which determines the e-mail address to which a copy of each sent e-notification should be sent.

  1. Search transactions by publisher
    In the Transactions search window (in the Reports module and in the Data export tool), the search fields have been supplemented with the option to search by publisher that adds e-books in the COBISS Ela application.
  2. Option to replace a member in the reservation queue
    The option to replace the member who is first in the reservation queue has been added in case the member cannot collect the reserved material within the scheduled time and therefore wishes to leave the material to the member who is next in the reservation queue. In the Card window, highlight the reserved item, press the <Alt> key; and click the Delete reservations button. When a replacement is confirmed in the reservation queue, the copy will be assigned to the first member in the reservation queue, and the copy status will be the same as the previous member’s (O or W). The member for whom the material is already waiting is placed in the first position in the reservation queue.
  3. Extension of the loan due date for any period
    The option to extend the due date from the current date by any number of days, weeks, months, or years has been added. In the Card window, select the copy(s) of the material, click the Change flow button, and then click the Period button to open a window where you enter the period in the format <number><period code> (e.g. 6w for 6 weeks). As a period designation, use d for days, w for weeks, m for months, and y for years. The expiry date is extended from today for the entered period.
  4. Card window
    • The Lending form button is larger.
    • If the library uses RFID, the procedures are accelerated, namely the Scan RFID button reads the material on the RFID board and performs the selected procedure from the drop-down list. Shortcuts in the Card window also trigger the RFID card reading action and the execution of the procedure, e.g. <Alt + I>; reads the material on the RFID card and executes the material loan.
  5. Price list
    When copying a price list or a list of discounts, the setting for which department or home library the price list or list of discounts applies is also copied in libraries with departments.

  1. Signing on the signature pad
    Signing the delivery note on the Omega signature pad manufactured by Signotec and saving the signed delivery note in the e-document archive is enabled. Special installation of the pad and setting up the pad’s operation is not required; it is sufficient to connect the signature pad to the USB port of the workstation. The delivery note is signed by the customer, usually upon receipt of the material (the delivery note can also be signed later and multiple times). The signing process is triggered when the delivery note is issued, or when, for the selected delivery note, you select printing or sending the delivery note to destinations after clicking the additional options button. The Overview and sending of created report window will then open. In this window, when printing Delivery note, click the More options button and from the menu select Sign document. This activates the signature pad and hands it over to the customer to sign within the box and confirm the signature by clicking the pen on the green check mark. After confirming the signature, the value Yes is set for the selected delivery note in Delivery note signed (if no e-delivery notes are already stored in the e-document archive for the selected delivery note), and the signed delivery note is saved in the e-document archive (a file in PDF format). At the same time, the signed and archived delivery note (i.e. e-delivery note) is opened and displayed on the screen so that it can be printed and delivered to the customer.
  2. Access to e-delivery notes from the archive of e-documents
    If you want to view or print a specific e-delivery note, find and select the appropriate delivery note and then click the Archive of e-documents button. If at least one e-delivery note is saved in the e-document archive for the selected delivery note, the Overview of e-documents window opens with a list of all saved e-delivery notes for this selected delivery note. The most recent e-delivery note is at the top of the list. The following information is displayed about each e-delivery note:
    • e-delivery note symbol (*Delivery note_<delivery note number>_<version>*);
    • date and time of creation of the e-delivery note (entered: <dd.mm.yyyy HH:MM:SS>);
    • username of the system user who archived the delivery note (entered: <username>).
    You can also access e-deliveries stored in the e-document archive by searching for and selecting a customer (member or partner) and then clicking the E-document archive button.
  3. Importing manually signed delivery notes into the archive of e-documents
    You can import delivery notes that you have saved on the workstation with the appropriate name and in PDF format. The name of the files you want to import must be in the structure <nn-nnnnn><date><time>.pdf:
    • nn-nnnnn – delivery note number,
    • dd-mm-yyyy_HH-MM-SS – date and time of creation of the e-delivery note (i.e. the date of issue of the delivery note, the date the delivery note was signed, the date of receipt of the signed delivery note or the date of preparation of the file in PDF format, etc.).
    To import e-delivery notes into the archive of e-documents, select the Import e-delivery notes option in the Delivery note content set. The Import e-documents window opens, where in E-documents folder you specify the path to the folder on our computer where the delivery note files you want to import are stored and click the OK button. When the data import is complete, a message is displayed indicating how many e-delivery notes met the conditions for import, and how many of them were imported and how many were not. You access the imported e-delivery notes as described in the previous point (find and select the delivery note, member or partner and click the Archive of e-documents button).

  1. Sending invoice by email
    The option to send invoices by email has been added to the e-notification settings at the library level (Home library / E-notification procedure). In the E-notification window, check the box next to Invoice for library services to enable the member to subscribe to receiving the invoice via email. A new e-notification type Invoice for library services has also been added to the member’s e-notification data and to the settings list in My Library. It is only possible to send the invoice to the member’s e-mail address, other methods are not enabled. The setting also applies to invoice cancellation, credit note, invoice copy, notification of remaining debt after partial payment of the invoice and confirmation of payment of debt after partial payment of the invoice.
    You print the invoice for a member who subscribes to receiving the invoice by email by preparing a copy.

  2. Batch updating member data
    The methods Member / Updating member data – export and Member / Updating member data – import have been supplemented so that it is possible to mark e‑mail notification for receipt of an invoice for library services for selected members.

  3. Registration form
    A method for importing e-documents has been prepared for importing registration forms from other systems before the signature pad was started, or for importing an individual registration form that was signed at a location without the possibility of signing with a signature pad.

  4. VALÚ
    VALÚ is enabled for COBISS Lib. You need to edit the settings described in the instructions COBISS DGW Service Installation and Settings.

  5. Signature pad
    A solution has been prepared for the signature pad via COBISS DGW, which enables a more appropriate display of the text on the signature pad.

  6. Urbana
    Urbana is included for the MKL library.

  7. Notification about outstanding debts
    The notification is supplemented with a statement of the current fine at the time the notification was prepared.

  8. Credit note
    The credit note can now only be prepared in the department where the invoice was issued.

  9. Tolerance amount of outstanding debts
    The tolerance amount of the member’s outstanding debts, which is determined by a parameter, is now taken into account in such a way that the use of library services is disabled for the member when this amount is reached (until now when it was exceeded). The amount can also be specified in decimal value.

  10. Restrictions on operations
    In libraries with departments, it is possible to enable the restriction of the number of reservations to be taken into account at the library level with a special parameter. The parameter is activated at the request of the library. Number of reservations restricted entered for the member, library or department is taken into account if the parameter is activated, so that when the number of reservations is reached, a warning is displayed in the loan module, and the librarian then decides whether to reserve the material. Reservation in COBISS+ and mCOBISS is not possible when the limit is reached.

  11. Software check of age and category of member
    The possibility of software control of the member’s category has been added, if the member is under 18 years of age according to the date of birth. If the member is under 18 years of age and the member’s category is not 001 – pre-school children, 002 – primary school pupils or 003 – secondary school pupils, an automatic warning will be displayed. The control is activated at the request of the library with a special parameter.

  12. Account defaults
    If the library does not have any accounts specified in the local code lists VAT accounts (CODE 330) and Cash register accounts (CODE 331), the default values are used:

    • VAT account: 260-1,
    • cash register account: 100-1.

    The default values of the accounts are taken into account in the procedures Charging debts and Calculate the status of debts on the selected date.

  13. Card window
    There are some changes and additions to the Card window:

    • the accession number or COBISS.SI-ID (Reserved tab) is displayed in bold,
    • the expired membership validity date is displayed in red,
    • when displaying material recorded in all departments, the material is sorted by individual department of the transaction, and within the same department by expiration date,
    • the transaction department and status expiration date are displayed in bold,
    • for reserved unavailable material (status R), the expected return date and place in the reservation queue are displayed.
  14. Member search window
    In the Member search window, you can now use the key combination <Alt + Q> to open the Card window for the selected member. If you have not previously selected a member, use the key combination <Alt + I> to open the Search by key window, where you enter the identification data of the member for whom you want to open the Card window.

  15. Catalogue

    • The button for accessing the local library catalogue has been renamed from Collection for loan to Catalogue.
    • In the Material content set, the option to access the local catalogue (Material / Catalogue) has been added.
    • Added display of the number of search hits, which refers to the number of found fields 996/997.
  16. Loan transactions
    When entering loan transactions, two new types of transactions have been added: 80 – change of conditions for loaning e-books from the COBISS Ela provider and 81 – change in the total number of points for loaning e-books from the COBISS Ela provider.

  17. Reservation cancellations in My Library
    Added software control when cancelling reservations in My Library (COBISS+). In a library with pickup locations that allows its members to cancel reservations for material that is already ready for pickup (i.e. material that has the loan status W), a member can no longer cancel a reservation for material that is already waiting for them in the parcel box.

    • Favourite reports are displayed under two tabs (for an individual user and at the library level).
    • The order of procedures that can be performed on favourite reports has been rearranged.
    • It is possible to edit the order of favourite reports and refresh the list of favourite reports. For this purpose, Move up, Move down and Refresh options are included in the context menu.
  2. View and Send report window
    • In the report and in the form, it is possible to add an attachment to the “E-mail” destination. For this purpose, the Add attachment option is included in the context menu.
    • In the Download option, which enables local saving of the created report, a check has been added to ensure that the report is sent in the selected format.
    • The position of the icons for performing individual procedures has been changed.
    • The window remains open if the report was not successfully sent to one of the destinations.
  3. Data export
    Data export – <content set> window:
    • Display of icons of each set included.
    • Added options Add subfields and Use attributes. They are active in the content set Bibliographic record.
  4. Bibliographies are displayed in a separate tab (previously in the Data export tab).

  1. Hotkeys
    COBISS Lib includes the option to use keyboard shortcuts for the most commonly used loan procedures. Hotkeys are used in combination with the key, e.g. the key combination <Alt + I>; activates the outside loan process.
    Hotkeys can be used for selected procedures that are available:
    • in the main COBISS Lib window (e.g. key combination <Alt + I> to open the Card window);
    • in the Member search window;
    • in the Card window (e.g. the key combination <Alt + V>; to activate the material return procedure).
  2. Additions to the Card window
    • A new tab All material has been added, which is placed first among all the tabs in this window. The tab displays all recorded materials except for materials from the Return tab. In a library with departments the material of the department to which you are logged in to is displayed. This tab displays buttons for procedures that are available on tabs with individual material statuses, and are active depending on the status of the marked material. In the case of a library with departments, after selecting the Material from all departments option, a list of entered material in all departments is displayed.
    • Design changes:
      • the content of the note for the member is highlighted in red;
      • the status expiry date is displayed in bold;
      • if the status expiry date has already passed, this date is displayed in red;
      • the number of copies read with RFID is displayed larger.
    • In the Card window for the library department:
      • the option to select the procedures Lend to reading room and Reserve for reading room has been removed;
      • after entering the return of the material, you remain on the Loan tab;
      • when opening this window, a progress indicator has been added. The functionality of loan renewal is included in all departments in which the member has entered material. The operation of this option is dependent on the activation of a parameter that applies to both COBISS3 and COBISS Lib.
    • In libraries with departments, the functionality of the Material from all departments: option has been improved:
      • a progress indicator is included to let you know whether the data upload process is still ongoing;
      • when the data upload process is complete, a message is displayed;
      • if the member does not have any material entered in the remaining departments, a message will also be displayed to this effect;
      • when changing the registration department, the display of material from all departments is automatically unchecked.
    • In the Card window, the activity of the Renew, Delete reservations and Lend from reading room to outside loan buttons has been adjusted so that they are only active when at least one copy of the material is marked in the list of entered material.
    • In the Card window, the Catalogue button has been renamed to COBISS+.
  3. Signature pad
    In COBISS Lib, the process of signing a registration form with a signature pad has been supplemented by displaying the text from the signature pad.
  4. POS terminal
    COBISS Lib enables integrated use of a POS terminal. For proper operation, settings must be adjusted in COBISS DGW.
  5. Urbana
    COBISS Lib enables the use of Urbana.
  6. Material
    In the content set Material, the Catalogue procedure has been renamed to COBISS+.
  7. Member search window
    In COBISS Lib, when performing the Return, Delete and Return with restriction procedures in the Unavailable material set, the member for which one of these procedures was last performed is marked in the search results list.
  8. Catalogue
    In the Catalogue window, it is possible to print a catalogue slip. Select field 996/997, select the print option in the additional options, and in the report definitions window, select Slip from catalogue.
  9. Additions for libraries with pickup locations
    • An option has been added to automatically perform the process of delivering the material to the pickup location when returning pre-reserved material, when the returned material is assigned to a reservation from a reservation type that meets the conditions for assignment (when changing the reservation of unavailable material (status R) to a reservation of available material (status O), the reservation gets the status on its way to pickup location and a Lending form for newly received reservations is printed). This happens in the following cases:
      • the member will pick up the material at another location (in another department);
      • the member will not pickup the material in a parcel box nor will the material be delivered to him/her by post;
      • the returned material was assigned for interlibrary loan purposes.
        The option is activated at the library’s request with a special parameter.
    • When reserving available material, a Maximum material pickup cost is added. The data is recorded only on the basis of a previous reservation of unavailable material (when changing the reservation of unavailable material (status R) to the reservation of available material (status O or W). In COBISS Lib, the maximum allowable cost for the material pickup is visible in the viewer, and in COBISS3, in the list of attributes that are displayed for the selected reservation in the browser and viewer.
    • When reserving available or unavailable material, the Designation of primary pickup location is added. For outside loan, reading room loan, and interlibrary loan, the Designation of the material pickup location and Designation of primary pickup location are added. Data on material on loan is recorded only in the case of prior reservation of the material.
  10. Member registration
    The duplicate check when registering a new member has been supplemented so that the date of birth is also checked in libraries where this information is not mandatory.
  11. Code list for type of non-cash payment
    In the code field Type of non-cash payment, the value 21 – FLIK has been added. From 1 February 2024, online payments using the Flik service will be enabled in My Library.
  12. Reports module
    Two new statistics are available in the folder Reports / Standard / Loan / Statistics (user classifications) / Transactions:
    • LOAN-STA-T61: By pickup location/transaction type, which enables the preparation of data on how many copies of the material were reserved and on loan by individual pickup locations in a specific period. Data is displayed for individual transaction types: 11 – outside loan, 12 – reading room loan, 13 – reserving currently unavailable material, 14 – reserving available material, 25 – reading room reservation, 63 – reserving unavailable material via COBISS+ and mCOBISS and 64 – reserving available material via COBISS+ and mCOBISS. Loan data by pickup location is displayed only for copies that have been previously reserved.
    • LOAN-STA-T62: By department/pickup location (pickup location is not in the parent department), which enables the preparation of data on the realized loan of copies of material that was reserved for pickup at a pickup location outside the home department. In the query parameter Transaction, the default transactions selected are 11 – outside loan and 12 – reading room loan. Loan data by pickup location is displayed only for copies that have been previously reserved.
      ATTENTION: The data that forms the basis for the preparation of new statistics began to be recorded in transaction files on 8 December 2023, upon the installation of version V13.1.

  4. In the search window for the content sets Bibliographic record and COLIB, the option to edit user attributes has been added to the Specify and select hit list formats option.
  5. The display of the process progress indicator has been changed (from wheels to a circle).
  6. The COBISS Lib login window includes the reCAPTCHA system to ensure security.

  1. Parameter for addressing e-overdue notices
    The option to select the email address to which e-overdue notices for individual member categories are sent has been added (e.g. email reminders for preschool and elementary school children are sent to the administrator’s email address). The option is activated at the library’s request with a special parameter.
  2. Loan transactions
    In libraries with pickup locations, the recording of loan transactions is supplemented with the following data:
    • Label of the primary pickup location and Collection from the department of the primary material pickup location. The data is entered in transactions of type 11, 12, 14, 15, 25, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, 42, 64, 65 and 67. For transactions of type 11, 12 and 25, data is entered only if the loan was recorded based on a prior reservation of the material.
    • Pickup location label for transactions of type 11, 12, 25 and 41. Data is entered only if the loan was entered based on a prior reservation of the material.
    • Returned in another department for transactions of type 17 and 18 (for copies with status C – outside loan and S – reading room loan).
    New data began to be entered in transaction files upon installation of version V13.1. Data will not be added retrospectively.
    Using new data:
    • when preparing reports of new statistics LOAN-STA-T61: By pickup location/transaction type and LOAN-STA-T62: By departments/pickup locations (pickup location not in the parent department);
    • When using the transaction data export tool.

  1. Unified reservation queue
    When handling reservations of unavailable free material in libraries with pickup locations, when returning pre-reserved material in libraries with departments, a unified reservation queue from all departments is checked, in which reservations are sorted in ascending order by the date of the reservation (the oldest reservation is at the top). The returned material (regardless of the department of return) is assigned to the first reservation from the reservation queue recorded in the parent department, for which the conditions for receiving the material are met (the pickup location and the maximum allowable cost for receiving the material are checked). If there are no reservations for the returned material in the parent department, the material will be assigned to the first reservation from the reservation queue for which the conditions for receiving the material are met. When making reservations for interlibrary loan, the conditions are not checked. In libraries without departments, returned material is assigned to the first reservation in the reservation queue that meets the conditions for receiving the material.
  2. New software control for reserved material loan
    Software check is added. In libraries with pickup locations, a direct transition from status O to status C is not possible unless the material is picked up in the department in which the reservation is entered. Before the material is loaned , it must be prepared for pickup at the pickup location.
  3. Maximum material pickup cost
    In libraries with pickup locations, a Maximum material pickup cost is added when reserving unavailable material. The data is entered based on the reservation of unavailable material. In COBISS Lib, the maximum allowable cost for the material pickup is visible in the viewer, and in COBISS3, in the list of attributes that are displayed for the selected reservation in the browser and viewer. If the maximum allowable cost for the pickup of material for the selected reservation is 0.00 euros or no value, then when the material is prepared for pickup, no claim for the pickup of material will be entered for the member.
