The COBISS 2024 Conference was the 24rd in succession. Under the slogan Working together to build confidence in science and development. the conference was held live from 23 to 24 October 2024 at IZUM in Maribor as well as online. It offered multiple interesting topics from different areas of science and librarianship. We hosted 35 presenters from Slovenia and abroad. In two days, there were 34 presentations attended by more than 700 participants from 11 countries in person at IZUM as well as online via Zoom.
On 28 November 2023, the first COBISS Days took place in Slovenia with the slogan "Strengthening connections". Three topics were discussed at the panel discussions: the development of Slovenian Current Research Information System, the transition to the new generation of COBISS software, and the development of the added value that COBISS brings to school libraries. More than 300 participants followed the event at IZUM and online.
The COBISS 2022 Conference was the 23rd in succession. COBISS Meet 2020
The Institute of Information Science in Maribor (IZUM) organized the traditional COBISS conference this year as well, however, it was adapted to the current situation. The event was named COBISS Meet 2020 because it was held virtually or online. The main theme of the event were presentations of new approaches and new features recently introduced at IZUM for all participants in the COBISS.net network. The virtual venue was an excellent opportunity to debate ideas and common plans for the future as well as for networking with speakers, colleagues, and other event participants. COBISS Meet 2020 took place live from 1 to 3 December 2020 on an online platform. The event was attended by 619 participants from more than ten countries. Networking was also a great success, which was shown by over 1500 comments, greetings, questions, and answers in the online chat during the event. The traditional international COBISS Conference 2018 took place in IZUM's facilities in Maribor in the Autumn of 2018. The conference was attended by more than 260 participants from 11 countries.
